1. Mahou no Tenshi Creamy Mami-This is the story of young Morisawa Yuu, a 10- year-old girl. She lives the life of an ordinary little girl, until one say she is given a magical wand which enables her to transform into a teenager girl, Creamy Mami. She must balance living the life of a 10-year-old and at the same time, the life of a 15-year-old singing idol. Creamy Mami was created in the 80s, and has some of the best outfits ever seen in any shoujo anime. I think Studio Pierrot did a fantastic job with this anime capturing the double life of Yuu, and the tragedies and triumpths she faces as both Yuu and Mami.

2. Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon- This is the story of Usagi Tsukino an ordinary 14-year old girl. She is a crybaby and a ditz sometimes, but underneath her normal way of living is a powerful and strong heroine for love and justtice, Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon is accompanied at first by Luna, a purple cat with a crescent moon on her head. She helps Sailor Moon find her other lost senshi members and gives them their transformation sticks which they use to transform. This in my opinion is still the best shoujo anime ever. I say this because it captures the true feeling of what girls experience while growing up...and adds a twist of fantasy to it. Everything is covered from liking boys, to friendships, romance to hearbreak, life and death, to love and tragedy. Sailor Moon has all the ingredients of a great anime. And the transformation sequences are something to me remembered. And it shows us that girls can have as much of a role if not a bigger role in animes than guys. I guess I can say here...in respect to these magical leading ladies...girl power! ;)

3. Mahou no Stage Fancy LaLa-This anime is about a 9-year old-girl, Shinohara Miho. Miho likes to draw and wants to be a manga artist when she grows up. One day, she is at a toy store and comes upon two strange-looking dinosaurs. The dinosaurs suddenly move, capturing Miho's attention. Miho thinks she is seeing things and walks to the door...and is greeted by an angry storekeeper. He thinks Miho is trying to steal the two dinosaurs because they are stuck to her backpack. Not knowing how they got there, she denies trying to steal them. The store keeper doesn't want to hear it and threatens to call her parents. But, a stranger comes by and pays for the dinosaurs getitng Miho off the hook. Exhausted, Miho goes to her room, and draws some more, when she starts to hear voices again. she looks at the dinosaurs, nothing. After a few moments, the dinosaurs move and introduce themselves to Miho. They give the young girl a magic drawing pen. They tell her she can use this pen to draw clothes to make herself look older. So, Miho draws a set of clothes and puts them on. Only one problem, they are too big for her. The dinosaurs tell her she must shout, "dabu-dabu" to become older. So, miho shouts the magic words and the pen begins to fit out the clothes she made as she magically transforms into a 15-year-old girl named Fancy LaLa. Like Creamy Mami, Miho must balance her life as a 9-year-old and a 15-year-old model. I highly recommend this one to all fans of shoujo anime!

4. Mamono (Devil) Hunter Yohko-This is the story about Yohko Mano, a 16-year old girl who was chosen to serve as a devil hunter, Not wanting the responiblity of a devil hunter, Yohko was forced to slay demons and monsters trying to kill the remaining devil hunter and reserve their places of evil throughout the world. When she is ready to transform, Yohko holds out her ring and shouts her transformation phrase. Each one varies from episode to episode so there isn't one in particular. After the phrase, she spins and loses her clothes for a few seconds as the red outfit clothes her body in the process. Armed with a killer sword, Yohko must prolong the history and legend of the devil hunters, 107 before her. She is accompanied by Azusa, a young girl who is a devil hunter in training. Together, they are unstoppable...and a winning team!

5. Shadowlady-This is the story about 18-year-old Aimi, a very shy and bashful young lady. She is always doing things to embarass herself, and is deathly afraid to talk to anyone. One day she is out shopping and is approached by an attacker. He is about to steal her money when a guy by the name of Bright Honda saves her. Bright works as an undercover cop. Aimi automatically falls in love with him but cannot tell him how she feels because of her shyness. Then, a batboy from the demon world by the name of Demo, comes into her life and gives her a special eye shadow to make her look prettier for Bright. Aimi has no clue that when she puts on this eyeshadow, she becomes Shadowlady, bold, beautiful, and a very outgoing thief of the night. The cops, including Bright, try and track down Shadowlady...but she outsmarts them everytime. After a while, Bright makes it his only priority to capture Shadowlady and put her behind bars for her robbery crimes, but starts to fall for Shadowlady instead. Aimi is left in the dust as Bright doesn't notice her and only talks about capturing Shadowlady which makes her mad. Aimi doesn't want to become Shadowlady anymore and tries several times to use her own courage to make Bright notice her. She fails on all occasions. Can Aimi maker bright love her for who she truly is...or will Shadowlady steal Aimi's once chance at true love? If you haven't read this yet...I highly suggest it. It's a great manga and definitely worth reading.

6.Akihabara Denno Gumi-In 2010 Tokyo, a sort of mechanical puppet called "PataPi", a "toy" with primitive AI, is popular among girls. Hibari Hanakoganei, a 12 year old student in Akihabara, wants one too: but her parents simply refuse to listen to her. In the meantime, she dreams about a strange white prince. One day Hibari thinks she's seen the man from his dreams under a tree, and rushes to him. But he's not there: instead, a PataPi descends from the sky into Hibari's hands. She is obviously very happy, and names it Den-suke. The following day Hibari is attacked by a strange woman who wants her PataPi. But when Hibari's in danger, Den-suke transforms into a female warrior... who resembles her uncannily! After that encounter, Hibari will find allies, and they will form the Akihabara Denno Gumi Crew! I haven't seen this one yet, but it was recommended to me by a good friend. I bet its worth seeing!
